One of my favourite parts of my Grandfather’s books is seeing the pictures of how he looked all those years ago, and throughout his life to date.
I think in today’s age of digital cameras and throwaway experiences, sometimes it’s a great reminder to actually print and save pictures of family and memories, and keep them to one side so they don’t get lost in a computer fail, or left on a memory stick somewhere. I don’t know whether this will amuse anyone but me, but here are some of my favourite pictures of my Grandad, showing how we all go from young children, to teenagers with high hopes and a spring in our step, to later in life.

Looking good at 87, Grandad.
